This simple tented camp is situated within the communal land of the Ju/'hoan tribe, and our stay here contributes directly to the community. The camp is spread over a vegetated dune with views over the Nhoma omuramba (dry riverbed) and it's just a short walk to the Ju/'hoan village called //Nhoq'ma. The camp has basic walk-in tents with private verandas shaded by large Zambezi teak trees. The tents have beds and an en-suite bathroom with hot water. At the highest point of the camp is the thatched dining area, where our meals are served buffet style. The camp was built by Arno Oosthuysen with the help of the //Nhoq'ma community, with whom Arno has had an exclusive working agreement since 1999. Tourism allows the community to earn money for food and supplies not provided by the surrounding environment and make it possible for the community to stay on their ancestral land.
